                                                  On Dec 04,the Indian Navy launched Operation Trident against Pakistan duringthe '71  indo-psk war'

• The operation was launched on Karachi,headquaters of the pakistan Navy
• The Indian attack force consisted of 3 vidyut class missile boats,2 anti-submarines &tanker
• plan was to attack karachi at night as pakistan did not have aircraft that colud carry out bombings   at night
• While there was no casualty from india's side,palostan suffered huge losses including the death of 5 sailors & injuries tp700
